William Bernhardt

Plot/Counterplot has arrived!

Well, ok, it can be ordered. The official release date is July 26, but order now and it will be in your hot little hands (or on your hot little eReader) at 12:01 am. If you prefer the print edition, no worries—the hardcover will be available for order soon. Pro tip: the print edition usually releases a few days before the “official” release date, because publishers know it takes awhile for a print edition to make it to the reader—and because they want fans to be able to post early reviews on Amazon and other retail sites. So don’t wait!

Wondering what this high-octane lawyer-less (actually, there is a lawyer, but he’s not the protagonist) standalone thriller is about? Here’s the plot description:

Dylan Taggart channels his demons through the keyboard. Knocked around by a father who believed weakness was failure, the bestselling suspense author grabs a measure of peace in his gorgeous girlfriend’s arms. But he sees fiction come horrifyingly to life when masked fanatics break in demanding he put his brilliant mind to work and help them steal a secret military super-weapon.

Dylan tries to refuse, but his resolve shatters when they leave his lover for dead and punish him mercilessly. Torn between terror and grief, he starts writing the heist scheme as ordered…while feverishly building a cunningly disguised sabotage.

Can this tortured artist use his own ingenious plotting skills to prevent the death of millions?

Plot/Counterplot is a fast-paced standalone thriller. If you like resourceful characters, intense drama, and endless surprises, then you’ll adore William Bernhardt’s clever caper.

I’m not just puffing when I say I think this is the best book I’ve written in a good while. So please give it a chance. I’ll be back to the series characters soon.

The photo is me ziplining over the canopy of the Costa Rican rain forest. Wonderful trip. And the one on the above right was taken at my recent small-group writing retreat in Eureka Springs. Great group of writers working hard and learning in a gorgeous location.

Please tell all your friends about Plot/Counterplot!

Till next time—

Bill

Looks like you lack the second and third books in the Splitsville series, Exposed and Shameless. And my new book, a standalone novel, that should get prominent display on the homepage, Plot/Counterplot. I’ve attached covers. Please include links to Amazon pages for the books. In general, I think the book covers can be smaller, except for the newest book.
Here’s info about each book:
