William Bernhardt’s Red Sneaker Writing Center has hosted small-group writing retreats, an annual writers conference, and many other programs to mentor aspiring writers. More than three dozen writers have emerged from Bernhardt’s programs and successfully published with significant publishing houses. But in 2020, for the first time, Bernhardt is joining with his friends at Write Well Sell Well to offer the first ever WriterCon Writing Cruise.
Join Bill and his friends for seven fun-filled days on a Royal Caribbean ship, January 31 – February 8th, 2021, traveling to ports like Roatan, Puerto Costa Maya, and Cozumel, while receiving more than twenty hours of writing instruction, guidance, and editing. If you have a work-in-progress, Bernhardt will read it before the cruise begins so he is prepared to offer what will help you most. During the week, all instruction will be tailored to the participants. Topics will include not only core writing skills but also a key group of writer “survival skills”–publishing, marketing, and surviving in today’s evolving book world.

This being a cruise, Bill understands that you might want to spend some time on the beach, so the writing assignments will not be as intense as what you might find in a five-day writing retreat–but there will still be assignments. (Writing with an ocean view is actually wonderful.) You will receive expert presentations, critiques–you will even have a chance to talk about your work with an agent. And there will be many social opportunities–dinners, games, and lots of fun. You will receive an up-to-date writing handbook of over 100 pages, and more than 100 hours of recorded lectures. And you’re on a cruise ship! Seriously, this is the best deal ever.
The only thing that could possible make this better would be a low cost–and we’ve got that too. Bill has worked hard to arrange the lowest possible fares. These prices for a seven-day cruise would be amazing in any case, but when you add the writing instruction–they are amazing. This is your chance to find your tribe—while taking your writing skills to the next level. You’ll meet other people with the same goals who share your passion for writing. Future beta readers, and better yet–friends.
